God’s View On Homosexuality
Homosexuality is currently one of the world’s most disputed and debated issues. The heat of the topic enrages some people, as perspectives and natural views can be very differen’t based on one’s own experiences and thoughts. One of the main provoking questions on this idea is, “Do gay people have a choice, or are they born that way?” Bible researches have advanced in discovering God’s inner views on topics like these that humans define as “fuzzy” and “unclear.”
Leviticus 18:22 tells us, “Do not lie with a man, as one lies with a women; that is detestable.”
A current source, such as dictionary.com gives a simple definition of detestable to be hateful. In God’s eyes, two men together (and two women together) is not okay. If this is true, people still wonder why it is that there can be Christians who are homosexuals and cannot help it. There emotions are not the way they want them to be, and they know it is wrong, so how exactly is it their fault? The bottom line is: do there sexual desires and lust want to change as well? Researchers suggest that all gay people make a concious decision within their mind, whether it be out of sexual pleasure or a desire to be differen’t. Everyone commits adultery, no matter how spiritual that person may be. However, when a man or a women decides to be phyically attracted to someone of their own sex, that is something God did not design for them.
Whether you believe in God or not, everyone knows and excepts that every person is differen’t. God designed our talents, weaknesses, strengths, and even our flaws. Our DNA is 100% unique to each person, and clearly, no one is perfect. Being hand made by God is a beaultiful realization. Pslams 139:14 states,
“I praise You, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
In this, God created Eve for Adam, to be alike and also differen’t. God did not create Adam for a purpose to sin and to lust, but God did create the beauty of sex, and wants reproducing to be an enjoyable experience, full of love and appriciation. If God never wanted sex to be special, he could have created Adam and Eve with the same parts, making reproductivity simple and easy. He did not, but he wants us to save that wonderful experience for marriage.
Bisexuals on the other hand reveal impressions of wanting to explore curiosity with people their own gender and differen’t. There motives are mainly physical motives, and not about the devine differences in women and men. These differences are not our own, and we become aware of that as we begin to seek those differences in what we hope to be a future spouse, not a toy.
If I currently knew someone who attended church faithfully, and prayed openly to allow God to change their feeling towards the opposte sex and against the same, I would doubt in their mind and my own that they’re asking themselves to understand those physical attractions are not what God wants us to love most in a future spouse. I cannot answer the question of why some people find sexuality more desirable with their own, but I can rest in the fact that God does answers prayers, and does not design people in such a way. For anyone who has asked God in their relationship with him and have not heard an answer, dont’ expect change right away. First, ask yourself, “As far as sexuality, are my heart’s desires where God wants them to be”?
About the Author
If Christianity played a more significant role in society, homosexuality wouldn’t be so prevalent. Agree?
Instead of Christianity playing an actual role in society and daily life in America, the EVILutionists are teaching our children that we evolved from apes. As a result, our kids are acting like a bunch of apes, fornicating with others of the same sex.
Anyway, what are you thoughts on this issue?
Humans did not evolve from apes; humans and apes share a common ancestor.
Humans evolved from lower primate species, like homo habilis. Get your facts straight before you make another uneducated comment.
Prevalence of homosexuality would stay the same if American society was more church- and Christian-centered; it would merely make homosexuality more repressed.
The Middle East is a good example of repressed homosexuality. Despite being an Islamically-centered society in which homosexuality is condemned, homosexuality has been pushed underground.
